Lello Haus started in 2025 with a simple idea: paint a plant pot and try a technique I found on YouTube. The result turned out better than expected (clearly), and I immediately wanted to make another. And then another. That one experiment turned into an ongoing practice of exploring color, movement, and texture — and a refusal to stop once I realized I was onto something.
I work full time and make art in the margins of everyday life — evenings, weekends, and whenever the house is quiet enough to focus. I live in a suburb of the Twin Cities with my husband, Mike, our daughter Leila, and a full cast of animals (three dogs and a bunny) who ensure things never get too predictable.
Each piece is one of a kind — no two are ever exactly the same — and that’s very much the point. I’m interested in what happens when materials are allowed to do their thing, and I step in just enough to guide the outcome.
Lello Haus exists for people who like their art bold, their spaces personal, and their homes filled with things that don’t look like everyone else’s. These pieces are made to live with you — not sit quietly and behave. Art should have a point of view - this one happens to be mine.
